Cherished small business embraced by new family –Budget Stockfeeds and Outdoors welcomes Mornington community with Open Day celebrations

For more than 40 years, a successful small family business has taken pride and place on the corner of Mornington Tyabb Road and Progress Street – being a reliable and renowned store in the community. And for the last two decades, well-known couple, Stan and Shirl firmly became an institution to customers, providing the community’s stockfeed in the area.

Now the legacy continues with the small business having new local owners, The Deal Family, who have lovingly finished a renovation to launch Budget Stockfeeds and Outdoors – and restoring the business to its former glory.

And to celebrate the shop’s next generation, The Deal Family, including Benice and husband Ryan, along with their two daughters, Leila and Sibella, will be hosting an open day on Saturday 10th June from 10:00am – 1pm, to showcase the suite of quality products on offer and also an opportunity for
the community to get to know them.

The Deal Family is thrilled to be running this iconic business which stocks pet feed and accessories, stock feed, outdoor garden care and outdoor fire products.

Budget Stockfeeds and Outdoors stock a wide range of big brands including Purina, BlackHawk, Barastoc, Laucke, Coprice and Hygain with The Deal Family working hard to research and stock what the customers need and want.

According to Benice, the open day is a perfect opportunity for customers from all over the community to visit the shop and discover the extensive range and good old-fashioned service on offer.

“This business for us is two decades in the making and when we discovered that this business was available, the stars aligned, and we knew it was the perfect fit for us,” Benice said.

“Our shop is located in such a perfect pocket of Mornington, and we really want to reveal to the community that we are highly competitive against the bigger stores and be rediscovered as the go-to supply shop.

“Our open day will be chocker-bloc of fun for the whole family, including a petting zoo and coffee van, as well as door prizes and raffles. It is also an opportunity to speak to our experts in the areas of stock feed and pet supplies who will be on hand for a chat.

“We are extremely humbled and proud that we have become the new generation of owners for Budget Stockfeed and Outdoors and look forward to connecting with new customers who want the best in stockfeed and pet supplies in the area.

“We are committed in continuing to work very hard for our community and creating a welcoming and knowledgeable environment, so our customers come back again and again.

“Make sure you come and say hello on 10th June. We look forward to catching up with familiar customers and be introduced to new faces.” Benice added.
